Welcome to Vantage Avcom

Classroom is a place where we gain knowledge, undergo a personality development and grow into becoming productive individuals. However, the effective engagement of students in the classrooms is a big challenge for the institutions. Information that is shared by the teachers is not fully grasped by the students due to lack of interest, distractions and traditional way of teaching that makes them feel bored.
To address this challenge and to improve the engagement and attention of students during learning activities, the idea of the Smart Classroom has been introduced. The conventional chalk-and-talk model of learning and traditional approach of giving lectures and taking notes have lost its significance and effectiveness in modern education.
The concept of Smart classroom provides the progressive methodology of education that helps students to develop higher conceptions, improves academic achievements, engagement and content retention.
Smart Classrooms Key Technologies
Let’s explore the important technologies that power a smart classroom:
1. Interactive Whiteboard
Interactive whiteboard enables teachers to display multimedia content, annotate in real-time, and make lessons interactive. Smart board replaces traditional blackboards and has the option for internet connectivity, which enables dynamic and interactive teaching.
2. Document Cameras
Document camera like the Lumens PS753 allows faculty to display documents, objects, or experiments live on a large screen. Document camera enhances the visibility of documents and improves the students’ engagement.
3. Digital Podium
A modern podium equipped with a built-in computer, touch screen, multimedia controller, and audio systems (amplifier, speakers, microphones etc.).
It helps the teacher to control AV equipment in a smart classroom.
4. Projectors & Displays
High-definition projectors or LED displays are used to present content clearly, even in larger classrooms.
5. Multimedia Controllers
Multimedia controllers allow centralized control over the entire classroom AV setup — from projectors to sound systems.
6. Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Platforms such as Google Classroom, Moodle, or Canvas enable assignment submission, grading, and content distribution.
